Analysis of messages regarding key Polish and global politicians published in social media in Poland.
Last week (19-25 July), the greatest number of comments concerned Polish President Andrzej Duda and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The other analyzed politicians enjoyed less interest.
Comments on Putin peaked on July 20, following his visit to Tehran, where he met with the leaders of Turkey and Iran.
Andrzej Duda, on the other hand, enjoyed the greatest popularity among Internet users on July 22, when he ratified Sweden’s and Finland’s NATO membership application. A lot of comments were also devoted to another act signed by the President: on the rehabilitation of minors - the so-called lex "Kids behind bars".
The increase in entries about the President of Ukraine on July 19 was the result of the Duda-Zelensky conversation, as well as the visit to the US by the first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.
Last week was characterized by greater activity related to the German Chancellor. This time, the attention of the commentators focused on the vision of the European Union advocated by Scholz: "Germany will take over responsibility for Europe".
Joe Biden noted an increase in the interest of Polish internet users on July 21 and 22 - due to the information about COVID-19.
